Christ has been raised from the dead and in Christ all will be made alive

But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power.
1 Corinthians 15:20‭-‬24 NASB

“The Word of God is the “sword of the Spirit,”

“The Word of God is the “sword of the Spirit,” but if there is no Bible physically accessible to you, then the weapon of the Word must be present in the armory of your mind in order for the Spirit to wield it.”
Quote from “Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life” by Donald S. Whitney, J. I. Packer

Poinsettias

Decorating your home, church or business for Christmas is a beautiful thing. It is a wonderful expression of joy for the season.  With that said, I must confess that when I see a place decorated with poinsettias that are drooping due to lack of water and care, it makes me sad.

If you cared enough to decorate, you should care enough to maintain. Seriously it is only six weeks max. If the decorations are falling down, drooping or otherwise in need of repair, please do what is necessary to fix it.

This time of year generally brings in new visitors to your church and even local businesses. Keep that first impression in mind.
