Are global sea levels on the rise? Is it due to man-made climate change causing polar ice melt?
Who enclosed the sea?
“Or who enclosed the sea with doors When, bursting forth, it went out from the womb; When I made a cloud its garment And thick darkness its swaddling band, And I placed boundaries on it And set a bolt and doors, And I said, ‘Thus far you shall come, but no farther; And here shall your proud waves stop’?
Job 38:8-11 NASB
Decorating your home, church or business for Christmas is a beautiful thing. It is a wonderful expression of joy for the season. With that said, I must confess that when I see a place decorated with poinsettias that are drooping due to lack of water and care, it makes me sad.
If you cared enough to decorate, you should care enough to maintain. Seriously it is only six weeks max. If the decorations are falling down, drooping or otherwise in need of repair, please do what is necessary to fix it.
This time of year generally brings in new visitors to your church and even local businesses. Keep that first impression in mind.
I read this quote from “Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life” by Donald S. Whitney, J. I. Packer –
“The Word of God is the “sword of the Spirit,” but if there is no Bible physically accessible to you, then the weapon of the Word must be present in the armory of your mind in order for the Spirit to wield it.”
