From What? Series – Post 1: “if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved”

I’ve worked in the IT industry for nearly 15 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems. I currently work in data and analytics for the back office systems of the largest private employer in the U.S., and for me data and facts have to come together to formulate true and valuable information in order to make accurate decisions.

In my industry people like to think themselves wise. They know how things work. They are innovative and intelligent. Most are fairly well-educated depending on the area they are in. They also believe in philanthropy and social justice as a rallying cry. These traits serve them well in their careers and in many areas of life. Yet, it can also be a hindrance in the areas of life concerning spirituality.

The “From What?” series of posts will focus on the data and facts about what we need to be “saved” from. Don’t worry, I won’t be going through a long list of what are considered sins. I will focus on the need for being “saved” and the reason that we need a Savior (Jesus). I will also highlight key facts and data points that I use when examining what is truth and fiction.

Stay tuned…

“But what does it say? “The word is near you , in your mouth and in your heart “-that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

Romans 10:8‭-‬10 NASB
