As we go through life we will inevitably encounter times of uncertainty, even faith testing struggles. But we find our strength again when we praise and worship our God. Jesus is the object of our faith. Our faith is not in a building, denomination or anything created. Our faith is in the creator, the Lord God, the great “I Am”.
Revive us, Lord. Inhabit our praise. Holy Spirit move in us and strengthen our resolve to run the race with renewed vigor.
This song has most recently helped bring my heart and mind into a time of worship. I hope it helps you today.
Derive strength from your storm by faith in knowing that God has a plan.
“My son, do not forget my teaching, But let your heart keep my commandments; For length of days and years of life And peace they will add to you. Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good repute In the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones.”
Proverbs 3:1-8 NASB http://bible.com/100/pro.3.1-8.NASB
When it was evening, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and He was alone on the land. Seeing them straining at the oars, for the wind was against them, at about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea; and He intended to pass by them. But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out; for they all saw Him and were terrified. But immediately He spoke with them and said to them, “Take courage; it is I, do not be afraid.” Then He got into the boat with them, and the wind stopped; and they were utterly astonished, for they had not gained any insight from the incident of the loaves, but their heart was hardened.
