“The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.”
1 John 2:17 NASB
The Light is the truth. God is the creator, Jesus is His Son and the redeemer. If you believe the Truth you are in the will of God and live forever.
The darkness is a lie. In darkness people hide from the truth but are not hidden. In the darkness they practice the lusts and love of the world. The world is passing away and also its lusts.
Finite pleasure will not sustain you nor will it give you purpose.
Believe in Him. Trust in His goodness. Feel the love of the living God.
Earned love is fleeting and shallow.
The love of God is not earned but freely given and it is deep and unconditional.
Self worth is not found in the praise of others. It is found in the everlasting arms of the loving creator.
Self worth is not found in the lusts of the world. It is found in the purpose of your creation.
“The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
1 John 4:8-10 NASB
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:8-10 NASB
“For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification. So, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you. Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another; for indeed you do practice it toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brethren, to excel still more, and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you,”
1 Thessalonians 4:7-11 NASB
